A LARGE and supportive crowd is expected for the grand finale of Haslemere Hounds charity arts project – a Gala Auction at Lythe Hill Hotel from 6.30pm on Wednesday, September 25.

This year’s blockbuster scheme in aid of good causes, featuring more than 100 life-sized decorated model dogs, has been backed by a star-studded host of celebrities, including Stephen Fry, Alan Titchmarsh, Scotty Dog Michell, Julie Walters and bionic girl Tilly Lockey.

Fry is the latest star to lend his support and has just signed Cerberus, the three-headed monster hound from Greek mythology.

Each of the hounds to be auctioned next week comes with its own back story and bidding is likely to be keen.

Viewing is from 6.30pm and the auction starts at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £20 and include a welcome drink and hot dog with veggie option available when booking.
