CENTRAL B continued their excellent start to the season in the Aldershot Table Tennis League Division?One by sweeping aside Tennis B 8-2.

Martin Townshend and Andy Appleby were both unbeaten, while Robin Pretty contributed a double.

Level on points at the top are Central A who recorded an emphatic 9-1 victory over Ash A. Phil Snelson and Peter Millard claimed maximums and Paul Baker won twice.

Cody A proved too strong for Braybrooke A in Division Two, winning 7-3. Mark Armstrong took all his singles for Braybrooke, but Keith Russell, Phil Russell and Fan Lei all won twice for Cody.

Tennis G maintained their 100 per cent record in Division Three by inflicting a first defeat of the season on Ash D, 7-3. Peter Bone led the way with a hat-trick, supported by Martin Evans’ pair. Jo Bartlett won two for Ash.

Phil Garrett and David Skellern were both undefeated as Crawley Ridge B went top of the table with a convincing 8-2 victory over Frimley D.

Tennis F and Ash E shared the points, with doubles for the Tennis duo of Charles Burton and Tushar Vaja and the Ash pair of Terry French and Graham Thomas.

Cody D thrashed Fleet B 9-1, thanks to maximums from Kim Phillips and John Sheehy and two wins from Alan Richards.

Crawley Ridge C continue to dispatch teams in Division Four, their latest victims being Ash F who went down 9-1. Richard Hornby and Mark Stephenson each won three, backed up by Dave Marchant’s double.

Tennis J and Frimley F drew their match. Paul Phelan took a maximum for Frimley and Gary Smith won twice, as did Keith Johnson for Tennis.

Braybrooke B edged past Cody F 6-4. Kenny Duarte, Malcolm Codd and Sandra Jackson all won twice for Braybrooke, as did Cody’s Norrie Short.

Malcolm Moran-Ellis chalked up a maximum for Cody E who beat Ash G 7-3. Dave Hewitt and John Asprey won two each in support and Sheila Pretty took a defiant pair for Ash.

Tennis H have a perfect record after their 6-4 success against Frimley E. Ramesh Vasudevamurthy was undefeated for Frimley, while John Page and Ken Lewington each won twice for Tennis.
