Second-half strikes from Elliot Harrison and Angus Mackay saw Liss Athletic into the third round of the Hampshire Trophy.
The 2-0 victory against Baffins Milton Rovers Reserves was one of only a few games that beat the rain, with the tie moved to the 4G at Horndean Technology College.
Neither side could break the deadlock before the break, with Baffins striking the woodwork.
Harrison hit his 14th of the campaign to give the Blues the lead early in the second half, before Mackay’s shot from the edge of the box found the bottom corner to seal a place in the third round – and Liss’ first win in the competition since 2017.
It’s back to league action today (Saturday), with Mark Glazier’s side away to Paulsgrove (2pm). The reserves host Paulsgrove at Newman Collard (2pm).
