ALDERSHOT Town have recruited another Ipswich player on loan, midfielder James Blanchfield signing until Sunday, January 28.

The Southend-born Blanchfield, 20, began his career with Arsenal at the age of eight and, following a trial with Manchester United, joined the Blues in 2014.

He signed his first professional contract in July 2016, a deal which was subsequently extended until the summer of 2018, and has been a regular in the U23 squad at Portman Road.

Once again, Ipswich manager Mick McCarthy has made the deal possible as Aldershot step up their challenge for promotion back to the Football League.
