Four Marks BMX rider Betty Wills became the female British champion at the British Championships in Derby.

Betty – who rides in the female eights for Bournemouth BMX Club and has been riding for nearly two years – was competing against 17 females in Derby. She also became national female eight champion at the national indoor cycling centre in Manchester.

She is hoping to compete in some European rounds next year, as well as competing in the World Championships in Rock Hill, California, from May 12 to May 18 next year – having qualified through her results this year.

Betty is looking for sponsorship and funding for the World Championships in California. For more information, call Betty’s mother, Beth, on 07595 453805.
