Petersfield Golf Club’s ladies’ captain Jennifer Neal marked the coronation of King Charles III by holding a fun competition for all the ladies’ section.

Jennifer wanted a stableford with a difference, so thought she would concentrate on the number three. She decided to award triple points on the three hardest holes at the golf course as part of each player’s score.

Jennifer said: “This included everyone in our ladies’ section, as the idea could be adapted to the 18- and nine- hole competitions.

“On the day we ended up with multiples of three playing in the 18-hole competition (33 ladies) and six playing in the nine-hole!

“It was a great turnout and the competitions were enjoyed by everyone.”

Sue Gray won the King Charles III 18-hole trophy with 58 points.

Claire Powell won the nine-hole competition with 26 points.
