COWDRAY Park Golf Club’s Bernard Manning Trophy (Texas Scramble) was won by the team comprising Kevin White, Scott Evans, Nick Sampson and Andy Morgan, with 54.9 points.
This superb score was no surprise as White scored a hole-in-one on the 17th and Evans did the 11th in two.

Finally having some decent weather for a competition, Cowdray Park Seniors played their annual Triple Six. The event involves playing three different formats: foursomes, greensomes and pairs better-ball, each over six holes.
It was a poignant occasion because this was the final competition which the late Keith Chapman played, and won with John Lee, before he had to give up golf.
This year’s winners were Paul Owen and Mike Holden with 40 points, from a cluster of pairs on 39 points.
