THREE boys including a 13 year old from Farnham have been arrested after a knife-point robbery in Godalming on Saturday, January 12.

At around 5.30pm two suspects entered the Spar shop on Long Gore, and one threatened a member of staff with a knife. They stole money, alcohol and goods before making off on foot. The member of staff was uninjured.

Soon after police attended the scene and conducted "fast-time enquiries" that led them to the arrest of three boys a few hours later.

Two 13-year-old boys from Farnham and Godalming were arrested on suspicion of robbery and remain in custody.

While a 14-year-old boy from Godalming was also arrested on suspicion of robbery and was released from custody but remains under investigation.

Sergeant Jo Smith of CID said: “The incident would have caused extreme alarm and distress for the shop worker but due to a fast response from officers we were able to swiftly make arrests.”
