LIPHOOK Fire Station fell victim to burglars last weekend, who broke in through the door to the office between 6.30pm on Saturday, February 24, and 11am on Sunday, February 25.

Fire chief Craig Morgan told The Herald: “They took some of our equipment, which we use for saving people’s lives, and they also took a risk being caught at doing so.

“As a retained fire crew, we could have been called out at any time and in addition three of our men had their cars parked outside the fire station.”

Hampshire Police have appealed for anyone with any information to call 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
