BRAMSHOTT, Liphook and District Horticultural Society held their spring show in the Church Centre with an outstanding number and quality entries displayed by new and established members.

All daffodil classes were well supported demonstrating the variety and colours now available. Spring flowers, camellias and single variety shrub classes were also well supported with good displays.

Vice President Peter Catt came up trumps with his high quality entries winning the Ted Baker Cup for best in show for his three trumpet daffodils, and the Tony West Salver for his nine mixed daffodils.

The winner of the photographic class this year was Helen Brown for her photo of a butterfly for the class entitled Nature up Close.

After recently receiving a cheque from Skipton Building Society – with the promise of possibly another prize – BLDHS chairman Lesley Hollands rallied members and visitors into a group photo, to demonstrate that the money had been spent well.

The summer show is scheduled for Saturday, July 21, at the Church Centre, Portsmouth Road.
