A STEADY stream of customers helped Haslemere fire station raise more than £650 at its charity car wash on Saturday at Tesco in Wey Hill.
Junior visitors could also enjoy a guided tour of the fire engine.
The proceeds raised will be split between the Firefighters Charity and the Aching Arms baby loss charity for bereaved parents.
Firefighter Josh Berry said: “It went really well. We were a bit concerned because of the weather, but we raised more than £650.
“Aching Arms is a charity close to me and my family. Unfortunately, my first son passed away as a baby.
“All the guys wanted to help out and raise money for it this year.”
