RESIDENTS who live on a dangerously pot-holed road in Haslemere called a street meeting last week with councillors and a highways representative to lobby the bad state of the Vicarage Lane road surface.

Vicarage Lane is on the county's Project Horizon five-year priority programme of road maintenance and repairs, but although it is down on the list for 2014/15, the residents want their lane repaired urgently because they fear "there is an accident waiting to happen".
