NEW electric vehicle charging points have been installed at Squire’s garden centres in Badshot Lea and Milford.

Two-way fast 22 kilowatt charging points have been installed at the centres.

Customers can park, charge, then shop or enjoy a drink or meal at Squire’s while they wait. The cost to charge a car is 30p per kilowatt-hour.

Sarah Squire, chairman of Squire’s, said: "Our new electric vehicle charging points have been warmly welcomed by customers.

"We are committed to supporting people to lead more sustainable lives, and one way we can do this is by encouraging the use of more environmentally-friendly modes of transport.

"Look out for more charging points being installed at our other garden centres over the coming year."
