STRONG GCSE results are being celebrated today (August 22) despite concerns about the difficulty of the exams.

High-achieving Royal School twins got eight grade 9s and seven grade 8s between them.

Overall, the school reported higher grades for the third year running with 45 per cent awarded the highest grades of 9-7 (equivalent to the previous grades of A*/A).

An impressive 15 Rodborough School students got at least eight full course passes at grades 7 and above.

Rodborough’s overall pass rate at grade 4 (C) and above is 83 per cent compared with 69.9 per cent nationally.

Three Midhurst Rother College students got five or more grade 9s and 70 per cent go grade 4 or above in English and maths.
