The Tantum Trust in Bordon is offering the memoirs of a chimney sweep in return for a donation.
It has a copy of From Chimney-Boy To Councillor, the autobiography of William Wright, which was published by The Azania Press of Medstead in August 1931.
Penny McKay from the charity said: “Quite a number of people in the Alton area have memories of this gentleman, and he or others from the family came to clean their chimneys.”
