The Haslemere Classic Car Show promises a great afternoon out for all the family.

It will be held on Lion Green on May 26 from midday until 5pm, and several thousand visitors are expected to enjoy the array of nearly 250 interesting pre-1980 vehicles.

The display will have exotic sports cars, elegant pre-war tourers, family classics, Americana and hot-rods.

Car owners are encouraged to dress in period outfits to match their vehicle and enter for the Best Dressed Car and Crew award, and there is a People’s Choice award, in which the public can vote for the car they would most like to take home. The show, organised by Haslemere classic car restorer James Ewing, is a non-profit community event which is part of the Haslemere Festival and run by volunteers.

It also includes stalls selling quality produce, crafts, vintage goods, art and classic car merchandise at a Vintage Fete with jazz, teas, a bar and entertainment. Admission is free.
