HASLEMERE Prep School pulled out all the stops and arranged a week-long programme of events to celebrate World Book Day.

Earlier activities in an action-packed five days designed to get more people reading, included a book fair and a book week quiz, plus story telling sessions by parents.

The overall theme was ‘Animals from Stories’ and the event culminated in a dress-up day on Friday, when pupils and staff appeared as almost everything from foxes, owls and sharks, to dragons and tigers.

The grand finale was an animal parade during the school assembly, which included a best costume competition.
