IT appears that roads have feelings, too.

After years of feeling run down and trodden on, Forest Road has expressed its pain to motorists.

Although the shortening of Slow to ‘OW’ has amused some Liss Forest residents, some haven’t seen the funny side of the sketchy line repainting that followed a week of pothole repairs.

“The patching of the potholes on Forest Road included some spot repairs to the road markings as an interim solution,” said a spokesperson for the county council.

“All the road markings on Forest Road, from Mint Lane to Greatham village, are scheduled to be fully repainted in the coming weeks, weather permitting.”
