BLING and bow ties made by youngsters at a Valentine’s Day half-term family drop-in event, will also go on show at Haslemere Museum.

Museum artist in residence Diana Burch led the workshop and all the materials supplied were recycled.

The finished creations will feature in ‘Celebration Redesigned’ from March 14 to April 18. Inspired by the museum’s European peasant arts collection but with a modern twist, it will include artworks from a series of crafts sessions.

Diana said: “It’s always good to see the different generations being creative together as they would have done years ago. Creativity is not only relaxing, but bonds us together and celebrates our individuality.

“I always enjoy working at the museum, and it is great to see all the families enjoying themselves and children really getting involved.”
