Redrow Homes has appealed against East Hampshire District Council’s refusal of planning permission for its proposed 112 houses on land west of Longbourn Way in Medstead.

The Stand with Medstead Against Speculative Housing – SMASH – group wants people opposed to the scheme to help it ‘Shelve The 112!’ by commenting to the council at https://tinyurl.com/2p99yh59 or via the SMASH website at https://www.smashonline.co.uk by March 8.

Elaine Adams of Medstead said: “Version one of this application received more than 225 objections, which clearly illustrates just how strong the local opposition is to this proposal, which would result in yet more houses being built on green fields outside Medstead’s settlement boundary. This proposal is unwarranted, unnecessary and unwanted!”
