LOW flypasts by Falcon High’s birds of prey thrilled visitors at Haslemere Museum.
Crowds flocked to enjoy falcons, hawks and owls being put through their paces in the grounds and to meet the performers in between flying displays.
For many, the most exciting part of the show was lying on the ground so that the birds could fly low overhead, as part of the interactive displays.
Kay Topping, museum education officer, said: “It was lovely to see so many people both young and old enjoying themselves and experiencing real close-up encounters with these beautiful birds in flight.”
The falconry display was one of a number of events the museum is hosting over the holidays.
Other summer delights include a Teddy Bears’ Picnic and Mini Fete on Thursday, August 17, with a children’s tea, traditional games, face painting and stalls and an invitation to discover more about the world of bees and visit the Observation Beehive, on Thursday, August 24.
