HASLEMERE fire station could lose one of its two engines and a third of its full-time staff, after Surrey Fire and Rescue Service announced a service shake-up this week.
As part of the proposals, set to go to public consultation on December 8, the town's fire station would lose an engine and six full-time firefighters – taking its daytime team from 18 down to 12.
