OBJECTORS celebrating the failure of Dunsfold Park's bid to increase its flights from 5,000 to 25,000 a year have been warned it will be a short-term victory.
Waverley spent £65,000 fighting Dunsfold's application for a certificate of lawfulness for unrestricted aviation, which was thrown out on appeal last week, following a six-day planning inquiry in January.
Protesters had warned that Haslemere would be directly under the flight path if the application was allowed, but concerned residents felt powerless to oppose an application that centred on legal issues and not planning merits.
