FATHER Christmas’ faithful reindeer and elf handlers took a break from their busy schedule to give a rousing send off to the hundreds taking part in the Santa Run at King Edward’s School, Witley.

There was less “ho, h,o ho” and more run, run, run when staff – including headmaster John Attwater – and pupils from King Edward’s donned their Santa outfits to take part in the 2km festive jog in aid of two charities, just before Christmas.

Joined by a younger contingent from Barrow Hills School, the runners were cheered on by supporters and friends as they raced for Surrey Young Carers and the Ri Diamo charity.

The reindeer were provided by Browells Reindeers, based in Chobham.
