THE Haslemere farmers’ market breakfast at The Hunter Centre served up a nourishing £1,000 for the day-care facility for those living with dementia
More than 70 guests enjoyed either the Haslemere English full cooked breakfast or a smoked haddock kedgeree at Saturday’s fundraiser sponsored by the Haslemere South West Surrey Farmer’s Market, and the team of volunteer chefs, farmer producers and helpers also served up locally sourced porridge, muesli, apple juice, toast, honey and marmalade on the side.
Hunter Centre trustee, farmer and food producer Margaret Barlow, welcomed guests, including Dr Anne Hunter, to enjoy the most important meal of the day.
Centre chairman Anne Downing said: “A huge thank you to all who took part and to everyone who attended.”
