Haslemere woman runs Great South Run for Mercy Ships
A HASLEMERE teaching assistant completed the Great South Run in Portsmouth on Sunday for charity.
Mum-of-two Sarah Noble took on the run for Mercy Ships, which delivers healthcare to those in need in some of the world’s poorest nations.
Sarah chose to support Mercy Ships at the request of her nine-year-old son Isaac, who first heard about the charity’s work at Christian festival Spring Harvest when he was only seven.
Sarah, who works at Beacon Hill Primary School, said: "It went really well. It was my first time doing the Great South Run and it was brilliant.
"My husband and two sons weren’t planning on watching, but I saw them cheering me on as they came as a surprise.
"I knew I was running for a good cause and I’m feeling really overwhelmed with all the people supporting me. I’m quite blown away by all the people giving donations."
