Eight-year-old swimming superstar from Haslemere, Martha Edmondson, has completed a 2km swim for PSDS, a charity that supports children with Down’s Syndrome and their families.
Martha was inspired to take on the challenge by her brother Barnaby, who has Down’s Syndrome, and has raised more than £3,000.
She said afterwards: “I was tired, but I carried on to reach my goal of swimming 80 lengths so all the money would go to Barnaby’s charity to help other children with Down’s Syndrome and their families.”

Mum Claire said: “Martha achieved her 2km target in a brilliant one hour, 45 minutes. We’re all so proud of her astonishing achievement.”
