A SERIES of recommendations to county services have been made in a domestic homicide review into the circumstances surrounding the murder of Detective Constable Heather Cooper.

The report, overseen by Safer Waverley Partnership and independently chaired by the NSPCC, was undertaken to establish what lessons should be learned by organisations including the Royal Surrey County Hospital and Surrey County Council children's services.

Peter Foster, 36, was jailed for life for murdering his 33-year-old partner, who worked in Surrey Police's domestic violence unit, in front of their two young children at their home in West Street, Haslemere, in October 2011.
