A GRAYSHOTT woman has been told to buck up her act or else face time behind bars after admitting drink-driving while less than half way through a driving disqualification for the same offence.
Emma Sophia Traill, 29, of Crossways Road, Grayshott, was committed to prison for eight weeks, suspended for 18 months, at Guildford Magistrates’ Court on May 21.
She was also disqualified from driving for three years, told to pay £115 compensation and £85 costs.
It comes after Traill pleaded guilty to driving an uninsured car whilst disqualified from holding a licence and above the legal drink-drive limit in Portsmouth Road, Hindhead, on May 3.
Explaining why her offending was “so serious” as to command a suspended prison sentence, magistrates told the defendent: “You were driving whilst less than half way through an order for disqualification imposed for a serious offence of excess alcohol involving a very high reading, whilst above the alcohol limit again and whilst uninsured.”
Traill was also ordered to undergo treatment for alcohol dependency for six months.
