VISITS to many different places of worship were undertaken by Grayshott Primary School pupils as part of Faith Week.

A Buddhist temple, a mosque, a Hindu temple, a Sikh Gurdwara, a synagogue and Winchester Cathedral were some of the destinations selected to provide a greater awareness of different forms of worship and an opportunity to ask questions and meet people from different cultures and faiths.

The week culminated in an exhibition of drawings, photographs and writing, which reflected the experiences of the children.

Grayshott’s interim headteacher Kathy Iles said: “Our children are the future and as primary educators we must instil the value of tolerance so they are able to secure friendships with people from any faith or culture.

“Our society is global and our children need to be able to flourish in this context.”
