BOROUGH councillors will decide next Tuesday whether the last remaining health suite offered at Waverley-owned leisure centres will be retained in the multi-million pound revamp of The Herons, in Haslemere.

The £2.8m budgeted for the initial scheme has been boosted by a further £1m investment to enable additional improvements to be carried out to include incorporating the health suite and improving the play facilities and pool area along with the core refurbishment programme.

Waverley's executive will be asked to agree the additional funding for the works and, if agreed, they will be incorporated into the planning application for The Herons redevelopment due to be determined the following night, by the council's southern area planning committee.
