A MOTHER and child were injured after being in collision with a car in Wey Hill, last Thursday.
The woman, aged in her 40s, suffered a head injury and her son suffered minor injuries. They were both taken to Royal Surrey County Hospital, in Guildford.
A Surrey Police spokesman said: “Officers attended a road collision involving a blue Ford Fusion and a female pedestrian and her three-year-old child.
“The incident happened outside the Mirabelle Tea Shop in Wey Hill, Haslemere, at around 12.16pm.
“The woman was taken to the Royal Surrey Hospital for further treatment and scans. The child suffered minor injuries. Wey Hill was closed in both directions while the emergency services dealt with the the scene.”
A South East Coast Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We sent an ambulance and two cars with paramedics. The woman, who was in her 40s, had a head injury but was still conscious and was taken as a priority to the Royal Surrey County Hospital.
“The child was taken to hospital with her.”
Police have appealed for witnesses to call 101.
