RESIDENTS of an over 60s sheltered housing accommodation in Liphook, which has undergone a major £1million renovation, were visited by East Hampshire MP Damian Hinds last month.
The Secretary of State for Education was visiting Fletchers House at Fletchers Field, off Midhurst Road, following the completion of the 18-month refurbishment programme that has already realised in a marked increase in resident satisfaction, by ‘unlocking new socialising opportunities’ according to Radian Housing Association.
Mr Hinds told The Herald: “The renovations to Fletchers House have made a positive difference to the lives of its residents.
“It is great to see Radian investing in its customers and properties to create social opportunities that benefit everyone.”

Shoplifter banned from wearing wigs after series of thefts across East HampshireThe refurbishment includes an additional 26 homes in the immediate vicinity as well as extensive renovation of the residents lounge and all communal areas, a new lift, two extension, the conversion of bedsits to one bedroom flats and additional landscaping.
Radian’s executive director of operations, Peter Evans, who accompanied Mr Hinds on his visit, added: “It was a privilege to welcome Mr Hinds to Fletchers House.
“This project demonstrates our commitment to invest in communities for the long term.
“The renovation work has been instrumental in creating an environment to enhance the quality of life for our residents.”
