THE death of Haslemere resident Samantha Hutchison, 43, on the A325 near Farnham on February 1, was ruled an accidental death by the coroner on Tuesday.

The inquest at Basingstoke Coroner’s Court heard Ms Hutchison, described as a “loving mother” to her seven year-old son, was more than four times the drink-drive limit when she ran into the road and was hit by a motorbike and car.

She died at the scene following the collisions, which took place at around 5.30pm. Coroner Andrew Bradley said: “It has become clear this was a tragic accident which she was the author of.

“She was over four times the drink drive limit and I have no doubt she had no idea what she was doing.”
