THERE are still tickets left for Haslemere Museum’s Valentine’s Dinner, Dance and Auction next weekend.
Proceeds from the black tie event at The Georgian Hotel. on Saturday, February 13 , will go towards the ‘Museum in a Million’ bid to secure its survival for future generations.
Guest auctioneer John Nicholson will ensure he gets the best bids for a succession of glittering lots donated by supporters, including a pair of Home Secretary Theresa May’s snazzy shoes, and a box at the English National Opera.
There is also lunch for two at Raymond Blanc’s Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons in Oxfordshire, and a rare set of six centenary Benjamin Britten posters commissioned by The British Council.
Museum curator Julia Tanner said: “It promises to be a lovely evening – a good excuse to get dressed up and enjoy a delicious three course meal plus the chance to bid for some fantastic auction promises, followed of course by dancing.”
