THERE was standing room only at St Paul's Church as villagers and pupils of Camelsdale first school packed in for the harvest festival.
Children from all age groups, joined Midhurst reader, Geoff Haines; parents, teachers and people from Camelsdale, Hammer and Lynchmere for the service.
Mr Haines led the service following the absence of Reverend John Musson, who is on a sabbatical.
Peter May, church warden, said: "It was an excellent service and very well attended.

"The children all contributed songs and poems to the service, with the help of the church orchestra.
"And all those who attended sang two hymns with the children."
After the ceremony, the children and Parent Teacher Association distributed non-perishable goods to those in need.
