NEW parking restrictions are set to come into force in Haslemere.

The recommendations were made at the last Surrey County Council Waverley local committee and include making parts of Shepherds Hill available to permit holders only from Monday to Saturday from 8.30am to 5.30pm.

Other proposed parking restrictions, which the council says will improve road safety and reduce obstruction and congestion, include extending restrictions and no waiting at any time, in parts of Tanners Lane, Church Lane and High Lane.

The proposed restrictions will be advertised for 28 days for a response from the public and they will be implemented if no objections are received.
