TODDLERS at Haslemere’s Toadhall Nursery have been learning about spring time and the life cycles of animals.

Wildlife expert Graham Bowring came in and not only told the children more about hedgehogs – but also brought two with him.

Assistant manager Michelle Barnes told The Herald: “It was an exciting experience to learn about hedgehogs and how Graham has been able to rescue them and nurse them back to health.

“The children learned some fun facts and were given the opportunity to stroke the two hedgehogs he bought along with him.

“This sparked conversations on what they felt like and if they were spiked,” Michelle added. “One child said that it felt like grass.”
