BUDDING artists at St Bartholomew’s Primary School have transformed a newly-built outdoor wall.

As part of a development plan for the outdoor area, all the children designed and drew their own outdoor scenes. Artist, author and parent Leon Hills then spent three days carefully recreating their artwork on the wall, ably assisted by Kathy Higham.

The paint used was donated to the school by Brewers. of Haslemere, thanks to an approach by former school parent Jools Roach who has worked at the schools on many occasions, as part of the decorating team Slapdash and Thorough.

School art co-ordinator Linda Lindars, who organised the project, said: “The finished wall is a real talking point and the children are thrilled to see their masterpieces permanently displayed.”
