CHILDREN from years three and four at St Peter's School, Wrecclesham, were transported back to Tudor times last week.

Dressed in Tudor costumes they completed a range of activities including calligraphy, dancing, brass rubbing, making pomanders, Tudor roses and portraits of Elizabeth I.

Mistress Wilson from Farnham Museum told the children about life in Tudor times, bringing history to life with various artefacts from the time.

Sue Firth, headteacher at St Peter's, said: "It was clear that all the children had not only enjoyed themselves but had also learned a great deal about this interesting period in history."

Later in the week year three staged an excellent class assembly for parents with the children acting out the fate of each of the six wives of Henry VIII.
