WAVERLEY has earmarked £1m to upgrade its outdated sheltered housing scheme in Wey Hill.
Members of the council's decision-making executive committee agreed to set aside the cash from the stock improvement reserve to remodel Rolston House.
Committee chairman Robert Knowles, a borough councillor for Haslemere, welcomed the decision but said: "This is well overdue."
