SEVEN schools have accepted a great Christmas tree “decorating challenge” and the results will be on show at Macmillan’s Haslemere and District Christmas Fair, to be held on Saturday, November 21,) at Grayshott Village Hall.
During the last few weeks year three pupils from Grayshott School, St Edmund’s, Camelsdale, The Royal School, Liphook School, Amesbury and Beacon Hill have been busy creating Christmas ornaments from recycled materials and have decorated a tree that will be entered into the challenge.
Each visitor attending the fair will be eligible to vote for the most appealing Christmas tree. This event has been sponsored by the Chocolate Frog Company who have donated not only the bare Christmas trees but also the prizes for the first, second and third place winners of book tokens to add to the winning schools’ library.
There will be 40 exhibitors at the fair and stalls selling handmade gifts, jewellery, fashion, decorations, food and drink, arts and crafts, and the Macmillan canteen for light lunches, teas and cakes.
Santa will be in his “ice grotto“ while adults can sample few tasters, sip mulled wine and soak up the carols. Entrance from 10.30am-3pm. is £3, wth children under 16 free.
