DEMONSTRATIONS by professional skateboarders and BMX riders thrilled enthusiasts at four free holiday events hosted by Waverley Borough Council.

Waverley Skate events are staged each summer in Haslemere, Farnham, Godalming and Cranleigh.

This year the sessions were mounted by King Ramps, a company founded by professional skateboarder Pete King, and featured Essex star Jack Clark from the British Olympic BMX team.

Waverley mayor Councillor Mary Foryszewski said: “It was great fun to see first hand, the tips and skills the young enthusiasts picked up from the experts and how much they enjoyed it.

“More than 200 took part in the four workshops, with 62 attending the Haslemere event.”
