WAVERLEY Borough Council is set to consider mid-year spending cuts to tackle a forecast shortfall of almost £500,000 in its current budget.
The council's executive heard on Tuesday that a budget review, based on monitoring of the first four months of the financial year, showed that unless action is taken, increased spending and reduced income could leave the council dipping into balances to the tune of £477,000.
