Fundraising is a laughing matter as a night of comedy at Fernhurst Primary School has raised more than £500.
The proceeds from the Epic Comedy event organised by the school’s PTA will go towards the purchase of playtime art resources.
The school hall was packed for a Friday night of gags and giggles with stand-ups Joey Page, Bella Humphries and Maureen Younger showing their comedic class.
“We had a fantastic evening at our special comedy night and the stand-ups from Epic Comedy kept everyone well entertained,” said headteacher, Jennifer Thornton.
“There was a wonderful community feel and we were delighted to raise money to improve the art resources that our children can access at lunchtime and playtime.”
