HASLEMERE railway station car park will be completely closed for several months from late August, and efforts are under way to try and minimise the disruption caused as South West Trains (SWT) builds an upper deck to provide 100 more parking spaces. The option of providing a new Hoppa bus service to outlying villages that would serve commuters during the morning and evening peaks is also being explored.

Anyone interested in the Hoppa option is urged to take part in the short online survey to see if there is sufficient demand to fund a trial.

SWT has started to build a new cycle hub for 190 bikes and is working with Surrey County Council to publicise alternative ways to get to the station online using lift and taxi shares, by public transport or walking.
