TESCO has lodged an official application with Waverley Borough Council over plans to turn a former pub in Milford into a convenience store.

The supermarket chain wants to open one of its Tesco Express shops by converting The Red Lion, but there has been a deluge of objections from villagers and shopkeepers who are being backed by Haslemere MP Jeremy Hunt.
