CAMELSDALE Primary School has now been awarded the British Council’s prestigious international school award three times.

Camelsdale’s international work includes its 15-year exchange programme with Jeuces de Castilla School in Spain and a new hosting link with teachers and pupils from China.

Welcoming the award, headteacher Sarah Palmer and co-ordinator Nicky Thickpenny said: “Our school aims to nurture global citizens.

“Our international links, projects and teaching Spanish, enable the children to learn more about the world they will later travel to, work in and look after.”
