MIDHURST Rother College students in years seven, eight and nine were invited to enter an art competition sponsored by the National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Society (NADFAS).

The theme was ‘Through The Doorway’ and students created their own interpretations on a canvas provided by NADFAS. The competition attracted more than 30 entries and students took the opportunity to use a wide range of media.

Entries ranged from a 3D Book with an Alice in Wonderland theme, to a view of space through a hatch door.

All the entries were displayed in the college and Lizzie King and Rosie Glancy from NADFAS, selected the three winners with the support of the college’s head of art, Katy Murray-Smith.

The winners were presented with a certificate and prize money donated by NADFAS and their artworks were also displayed in the window of ‘The Upholsterer’ in Midhurst.
