SURREY County Show attracted a capacity crowd from across the county – and over the borders – at Stoke Park, Guildford, on Bank Holiday Monday.
The annual extravaganza to promote the best in farming is mounted by Surrey County Agricultural Society and the show is celebrating its 65th year.
Grand arena events included a display on 100 years of farming and pigs, horses, cows, sheep and goats competed to win rosettes.
Bovine TB restrictions have impacted agricultural show entries nationally and former grand arena favourite the cattle parade was missing this year because of the reduced numbers.

With a prize fund of more than £6,000, competition was always going to be keen.
Further highlights were the sheep show, a dog show, Mike’s Donkey Rides and a vintage funfair. The countryside arena hosted falconry, gun dogs, terrier racing, fly fishing, beagles and the Dorset Axemen. In The Surrey Food Theatre, Haslemere cheese maker Francis Gimblett joined presenters including celebrity chef Philip Friend.
Special guest Surrey High Sheriff Bridget Biddell joined current society president Peter Gordon and former president Milford actress Dame Penelope Keith at the show.
